On August 15, 2018, I received a lung transplant at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills California. Rebecca Merin managed my post-operative in-home recovery. The transplant team at Cedars Sinai emphasized the unique characteristics of lung transplant post-operative recovery and the importance of strict monitoring and timely medication protocols required. Ms. Merin arrived at my home at 5:30 AM every morning for the first two weeks to manage the rigid steps in administering immune suppressants and an array of other medications while monitoring vitals and wound healing. Her command of the post-operative procedures unique to transplant surgery helped me to navigate and learn the rigid routines that were becoming part of my life. Her professional assistance and training in the critical early days of in-home care continue to aid me in this second year of my recovery. I will always be grateful to Ms. Merin for her help and would recommend her services to any patients needing competent, professional medical assistance and care.
Sincerely yours,

To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Becky Merin who was the supervisor of caregivers and estate property of a patient for whom I was a hospice registered nurse case manager. I was impressed by the expert level of care the patient was provided under her supervision. He was always clean and his environment was tidy. Supplies and medications were well organized and easily accessible. Becky held staff meetings to keep caregivers up to date regarding the patient’s changing conditions and care needs. This resulted in staff that were well informed about care and medications the patient required. Becky was also in regular communication with the patient’s durable power of attorney once the patient was no longer able to make decisions. Becky went beyond physical care and incorporated activities that were meaningful for the patient and foods he enjoyed into every day’s routine. I highly recommend Becky for caregiving and management roles.
Sincerely,
Courtney Wallace, BSN, RN, PHN

Becky Merin is an amazing person, and a very professional caregiver. She is dependable and extremely knowledgeable at her job. She keeps thorough records which is appreciated by doctors and other medical professionals. While caring for my husband Murray Leiber, she did an outstanding job. She understood his medications, was able to talk to his doctors, and explain it to me in a way I could understand. She was an angel sent into my life to care for him until his passing. I feel very blessed to have her be a part of our lives. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of help with an ill family member.
